Send and receive money to Tanzania using the People’s Bank of Zanzibar Ltd branch network in Zanzibar and Dar es Salaam
To send money- The basics
• The sender goes to PBZ Western Union teller
• Fills in the ‘TO SEND MONEY FORM’
• Transaction details will be captured in the system and stored in the central Server
• The sender will be issued a receipt and given a unique transaction ID and the Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN)
• The sender informs the Receiver of the unique transaction ID
How to receive money:
• Receiver goes to Western Union agent/sub-agent location
• You will have to present your Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN)
• Full name of sender
• The originating country of the transaction
• The expected amount (+/- 10%),
• Answer to test question
• Present acceptable identification card
