This is a fixed time account that enables safe keep your money for a period of time while earning interest on it. Fixed deposit also known a time deposit attracts good rates compared to those offered in other types of accounts. The product is available in local currency and three major currencies namely US Dollars, Pound Sterling and Euro. Rates are tiered based on tenure and the amount. The longer the tenure, the higher the interest rates. Likewise, the bigger amounts attract better rates of interest. Amount in excess of TZS 100 million or its equivalent in other currencies may be negotiated directly with our Treasury department.

REQUIREMENTS OF TIME DEPOSIT ACCOUNT

• Two recent passport size photos
• Copy of identification card (ID) of applicant preferable NIDA and ZAN ID Or Passport for Foreigners
• Applicant should be above age of 18
• Minimum Amount of TZS 1 million or its equivalent in other currencies
• In case you already own account with PBZ Bank, just instruction (letter) is enough to inform the Bank what amount and at what tenure you wish to keep the time/fixed deposit.
